Back in Cameroon

At the end of October we are back in Cameroon to prepare for the new season. For now awaiting access to the Park, but the "openers" are hard at work to make accessible the camp as soon as possible. Meanwhile the first visit to the park, the work to be done with the restoration of vehicles and equipment in Garoua ...

Some news for the upcoming season;
The rains have been modest and it seems t not too large degradations in the words of Alexander who regularly visited the camp during the offseason. Poachers have been busy, as usual, but have information on the subject shows at least that surveillance teams were present ... It will arrive on site to get a true idea.
A new conservative too (the fourth in five years) for the park, it is true that the precedent was qu'intérimaire, but will once again resume.
The great news is that the park was attached to the component of savanna ECOFAC V, funded by the European Union. So great prospects for the next 3 years, with some misgivings as to the uncertainties associated with these major projects ...
In our more modest scale, a grant from the Van Tienhoven Foundation should ensure the essentials for monitoring this year. Thank you to them!
