First visit to the camp ...

We're back from our first visit to the camp. After a team of precursors responsible for weeding and fill the biggest holes in the track, I have access to the camp on November 4, for a first visit and first delivery. Not too many surprises, fortunately. The access track is "fair", the camp has not suffered major damage during the rainy season, except for a tree that was lying on a boukarou, piercing the roof. For the rest it seems OK. Electricity and water were restored in the day, with a few scares on the side of the water pump, which finally agreed to restart ...
After a rainy season, the camp seems to drop in a decade! But that does not scare us, we know that after a large household, a few liters of paint and a lot of elbow grease, it will be gone!
In the bush as the news is mostly good, but for now impossible to realize anything; a sea of green grass three feet high in which even an elephant can not see.
I hasten to open the track leading to the North Park, marking "my" territory of some odors and some diesel wheel tracks, just to know that we're back, that the first poacher eventually passage is sure to peddle ....
In the second day of flying in a microlight Garoua military, which also reassured me to see no trace of human activity around ...
A quick inventory and return of Garoua, not to mention the inevitable quagmire ...
In a few days we'll be back, dressed for the big yard!
